Grandma’s Southern-Style Chicken n’ Dumplings Recipe
Chicken and Dumplings are served in this fashion over the south. The Dumplings really made this recipe. Some dumplings served in the North are made fluffy and completely different than this southern style dish! These dumplings are in a flat style and very easy to make. If you treat the dough like pie dough and don’t over mix, they come out so tender.
I cooked the chicken budget style: Frozen breasts with just a little chicken broth, black pepper and a bay leaf.
I let it rest and the broth thickened on its own within 30 minutes. It was even better the next day. Check out the recipe and let me know what you think when you give it a whirl.
