This is an authentic old fashioned Irish apple cake filled with lots of sliced apples and topped with a creamy custard sauce. I love to make it with tart Granny Smith apples, but your favorite variety will work too.
This cake is perfect for breakfast or brunch ~ pour yourself a cup of tea and enjoy with a friend. Or be like me and make the cake and eat it all to yourself 🙂 No judgement here!
