Best Ever BBQ Baby Back Ribs w/ Tomato Basil Salad Recipe
Well folks here is a classic recipe fit for a king or Queen! I am a big fan of ribs. Baby back ribs are my ultimate favorite so today I want to share with you a well loved recipe that I think could be your new favorite too.
Ribs are not cheap, but if you want to splurge and treat yourself or your family, (everyone needs a little treat every now and again) this easy rib recipe is going to certainly entertain and dazzle your tastebuds!
The meat is fall of the bone delicious and the salad that accompanies the ribs will for sure make this a dish to remember. I make this recipe in the oven, I cook the ribs this way because it’s more of an even heat… but this could be done on the grill too if you are hankering for some grill action!
Best Ever BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Time: approx 4 hours.
Ingredients:
- 2-2 1/2 lbs pork baby back ribs
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- Heavy duty aluminum foil
- Your favorite BBQ sauce. I used Sweet Baby Rays
Directions:
- Heat oven to 300 degrees.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the ribs. Lay the ribs on a sheet of foil meat side up and sprinkle with the brown sugar, just the meat side.
- Wrap the ribs as tight as possible sealing them in the foil. Place the ribs in a 9×13 baking pan or larger, depending on the length of the ribs.
- Bake the ribs for 2 hours. After two hours remove the ribs from the oven and open the foil as much as possible (I like to leave the foil underneath to help with clean up later on.)
- Brush on a good layer of BBQ sauce and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered for about 30 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the oven again; brush on a second generous coat of sauce and bake for the final 30 minutes.
- Move your ribs to a cutting board and let cool for about 15 minutes before slicing.
