Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 24 ounces Frozen fish sticks
  • 1 can (10.5–10.75 ounces) Condensed cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 12–16 ounces Frozen peas or mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange the frozen fish sticks in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Do not thaw them first.
  3. Stir the condensed soup and milk together in a bowl until smooth, then spread or pour the mixture over the fish sticks.
  4. Scatter the frozen peas or mixed vegetables over the soup mixture and sprinkle the shredded cheddar evenly over the top.
  5. Bake the casserole uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until hot and bubbling, the cheese is melted, and the fish sticks are cooked through.
  6. Let the casserole stand for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use cream of celery for a slightly lighter, savory flavor or cream of mushroom for a deeper creamy taste. For a crispier topping, bake the fish sticks alone for 8–10 minutes before adding the soup mixture and vegetables, or broil the finished casserole for 1–2 minutes while watching it closely. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and reheat until hot.
