Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 cups Cooked egg noodles
  • 2 cups Cooked turkey, cubed or shredded
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F. Lightly prepare a 1 1/2- to 2-quart casserole dish if desired.
  2. In the casserole dish, stir together the condensed cream of chicken soup, milk, and ground black pepper until smooth and evenly combined.
  3. Add the cooked egg noodles, cooked turkey, and frozen peas directly to the dish. Stir gently until every ingredient is coated in the creamy sauce.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake the casserole uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until it is hot throughout and bubbling around the edges.
  6. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving so the sauce can settle slightly and each portion is easier to spoon.

Notes

Cook the egg noodles only to al dente before baking so they do not become mushy. If the mixture looks dry, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of milk or turkey broth before baking. Frozen peas can be added directly without thawing.
