Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (113 g) Butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200 g) Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (about 213 g) Packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs Large eggs, preferably room temperature
  • 1 cup (about 255 g) Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups (about 180 g) All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed light brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, mixing only until combined.
  6. Spread the thick batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted near the center shows moist crumbs rather than wet batter.
  8. Cool for at least 20–30 minutes before slicing; the brownies become firmer and chewier as they cool.

Notes

Use regular creamy peanut butter rather than separated natural-style peanut butter for the most consistent batter. Do not overbake; a toothpick with a few moist crumbs is the best sign that the brownies are ready.
