Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow mustard or Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup Shredded Swiss cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped cooked roast pork
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped smoked ham
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped Genoa salami
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped dill pickles, drained
Optional Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Finely chopped green onion
  • To taste Black pepper
For Serving
  • As needed Toasted Cuban bread, baguette slices, crackers, or plantain chips

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish with approximately 1-quart capacity.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and mustard until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in 3/4 cup of the shredded Swiss cheese, roast pork, smoked ham, Genoa salami, drained dill pickles, optional green onion, and black pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Swiss cheese evenly over the surface.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the dip is hot, the cheese is melted, and the edges are bubbling. Serve immediately with toasted Cuban bread, baguette slices, crackers, or plantain chips.

Notes

Drain the pickles thoroughly and chop all meats fairly small so the dip stays scoopable. Use fully cooked leftover roast pork, pulled pork, or Cuban-style pork. Do not overbake, since Swiss cheese may become oily if the dip remains in the oven too long.
