Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
Bacon and Flavorings
  • 8 slices Bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2 green onions Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 small clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Optional Topping
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small baking dish with approximately 1-quart capacity.
  2. Cook the bacon until crisp, drain it well, cool it slightly, and crumble it into small pieces. Reserve some bacon for the topping.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, most of the crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic, and black pepper. Add the Parmesan if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved bacon and a little additional cheese over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbling around the edges, and lightly browned.
  7. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving so it thickens slightly while staying warm and scoopable.

Notes

Soften the cream cheese fully to avoid lumps. Do not overbake, since the mayonnaise-based mixture can separate. The dip may be assembled several hours ahead and refrigerated; add approximately 5–10 minutes to the baking time when baking directly from cold. Reserve bacon for the top just before serving for the best texture.
