- Heat the oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess fat thoroughly.
- Stir the undiluted condensed tomato soup, tomato sauce, and drained corn into the browned beef mixture.
- Prepare the macaroni and cheese dinner according to the package directions, cooking the macaroni only until tender.
- Combine the prepared macaroni and cheese with the beef mixture until evenly blended.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased casserole dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbling and the cheese has melted.
Notes
Drain the beef well to prevent a greasy casserole. Do not overcook the macaroni because it will continue cooking in the oven. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and reheat until hot.
