Refreshing Pineapple Kiwi Smoothie Recipe

Refreshing Pineapple Kiwi Smoothie

A bright, creamy tropical smoothie made with pineapple, kiwi, banana, juice, and yogurt or milk. It is ready in minutes and makes two small smoothies or one large serving.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 6 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks, preferably frozen
  • 2 kiwis Ripe kiwis, peeled and quartered
  • 1 small banana Small banana, peeled
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple juice or orange juice
  • 1/2 cup Plain yogurt, coconut milk, or almond milk
Optional Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Ice, if using fresh rather than frozen pineapple
  • 1-2 teaspoons Honey or maple syrup

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Peel the kiwis and quarter them. Peel the banana and cut it into chunks so the fruit blends quickly and evenly.
  2. Pour the pineapple juice or orange juice into the blender first. Add the yogurt, coconut milk, or almond milk, followed by the banana, kiwi, pineapple, and ice if using fresh pineapple.
  3. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. Stop once to scrape down the sides if needed.
  4. Taste the smoothie before sweetening it. Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup only if the fruit is not sweet enough, then blend briefly to combine.
  5. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. If the smoothie is too thick, blend in a small splash of juice or milk until it reaches your preferred consistency.

Notes

Use very ripe kiwi and banana for the best flavor and natural sweetness. Freeze pineapple or banana ahead of time for a thicker, colder smoothie. Frozen pineapple usually eliminates the need for additional ice.
