Step-by-Step
- Rub a lime wedge around the rims of two glasses. Dip each rim into kosher salt, chili-lime seasoning, or a mixture of both, then fill the glasses with ice if serving the margaritas on the rocks, or leave them chilled and empty for frozen margaritas.
- Add the frozen mango, blanco tequila, triple sec or Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice, agave syrup, and ice to a blender. Blend for about 30 to 60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and thick.
- Taste the blended margarita and adjust it to suit your preference. Add more lime for tartness, more agave for sweetness, or a small splash of water if the mixture is too thick to pour easily.
- Pour the mango margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedges, lime wheels, fresh mango cubes, or a light sprinkle of Tajín before serving immediately.
Notes
Frozen mango gives the thickest, coldest texture and prevents the drink from becoming watery. Fresh lime juice tastes brighter than bottled juice, and the amount of agave may need adjustment because mango sweetness varies by ripeness. These margaritas are best served immediately.
