Refreshing Berry Mint Yogurt Smoothie

A creamy two-serving smoothie made with mixed berries, plain yogurt, fresh mint, milk, and a touch of honey or maple syrup. Optional lemon juice adds brightness, while frozen berries provide a naturally chilled, thick texture.

Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 2 servings

Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 cup Mixed berries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Plain yogurt, preferably Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Milk, dairy or unsweetened non-dairy
  • 6-8 leaves Fresh mint leaves
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice, optional
Optional Chilling
  • 1/2-1 cup Ice

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Rinse the fresh berries and mint under cool water. Remove the strawberry stems if strawberries are included.
  2. Pour the milk into a blender first, then add the yogurt, berries, mint, honey or maple syrup, and optional lemon juice.
  3. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture looks smooth and creamy.
  4. Add ice if using fresh berries or if a colder, thicker smoothie is desired. Blend again briefly until the ice is incorporated.
  5. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness, mint, or milk as needed. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Frozen berries usually eliminate the need for much ice and help create a thick texture. Greek yogurt makes a thicker, higher-protein smoothie, while regular plain yogurt produces a lighter, more pourable drink. Add liquid before the yogurt and fruit so the blender starts smoothly, and avoid over-processing to preserve the fresh mint flavor.
