Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
Optional Ingredient
  • 1 teaspoon Finely grated orange zest

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Whisk together the fresh orange juice, balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and optional orange zest.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the extra-virgin olive oil while whisking continuously until the dressing is emulsified.
  3. Alternatively, place all ingredients in a jar, seal tightly, and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds.
  4. Taste and adjust with a little more honey for sweetness or balsamic vinegar for acidity. Let stand for 5–10 minutes so the flavors blend, then shake or whisk again just before serving.

Notes

Fresh orange juice and freshly grated zest provide the best flavor. Refrigerate in a covered jar for up to 1 week. If the olive oil solidifies when chilled, let the dressing sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes, then shake well.
