Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients

Whipped Cream
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Cold heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons (15–16 g) Confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. If time allows, chill the mixing bowl and beaters for 10–15 minutes. Pour the cold heavy whipping cream into the chilled bowl and beat on medium speed until it begins to thicken.
  2. Add the confectioners’ sugar and pure vanilla extract. Increase the mixer to medium-high speed and continue beating until soft or medium-stiff peaks form.
  3. Stop mixing as soon as the cream holds its shape while remaining smooth. Use immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to about 24 hours.

Notes

Keep the cream, bowl, and beaters cold for the best texture. Do not overbeat, because the cream can become grainy and eventually turn into butter.
