Ingredients

Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 1/3 cup Dry buttermilk powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fine salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground black pepper

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Add the dry buttermilk powder, dried parsley, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, fine salt, and ground black pepper to a small bowl or jar.
  2. Whisk the ingredients thoroughly until the herbs and spices are evenly distributed, or seal the jar and shake it until combined.
  3. Transfer the finished mix to an airtight container and store it in a cool, dry cupboard. Shake or stir before each use because heavier spices may settle.

Notes

Use about 3 tablespoons of mix as a packet-style substitution. For ranch dip, combine 3 tablespoons seasoning with 1 cup sour cream and 1 cup mayonnaise, then chill for at least 30 minutes. If using salted buttermilk powder or another salty packaged ingredient, reduce the added salt and adjust to taste.
