Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 5-ounce cans Tuna, well drained and flaked
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Finely minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black pepper
Optional Garnish
  • 1-2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, finely chopped
For Serving
  • As needed Potato chips or crackers

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Drain the tuna thoroughly, pressing out excess liquid, then flake it with a fork.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Fold in the drained tuna and minced onion. Stir in the parsley if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Chill closer to one hour for a firmer dip.
  6. Stir before serving with potato chips, crackers, celery, or other raw vegetables.

Notes

Drain the tuna very well so the dip stays thick and flavorful. Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature before mixing to prevent lumps. Tuna packed in oil creates a richer dip, while tuna packed in water gives a lighter result.
