- Fill a copper mule mug or rocks glass with ice. Add the vodka, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Stir briefly to combine the vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice, and ice.
- Top with the chilled ginger beer, then stir gently once more to preserve as much carbonation as possible.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries, a lime wedge, and an optional small rosemary sprig. Serve immediately while the drink is cold and bubbly.
Notes
Use ginger beer rather than ginger ale for a spicier, more characteristic mule. Fresh lime juice tastes brighter than bottled lime juice. If using unsweetened cranberry juice, add about 1/4 to 1/2 fl oz simple syrup if you prefer a less tart drink.
