Step-by-Step
- Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk in a large bowl for 1–2 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
- Fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until evenly combined and creamy.
- Core and chop the apples into bite-size pieces. Peeling is optional, and leaving the peel on adds color and a pleasant fresh texture.
- Chop the six Snickers bars into small chunks, reserving some pieces for the topping.
- Gently fold the chopped apples and most of the Snickers pieces into the pudding mixture, taking care not to crush the fruit or candy.
- Transfer the salad to a serving bowl, scatter the reserved Snickers pieces over the top, and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving. Serve the same day for the crispest apples and the best candy texture.
Notes
Choose crisp, slightly tart apples such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or a combination. Chop the apples shortly before mixing, fold gently, and avoid extended refrigeration because the apples can release moisture and the Snickers pieces can soften.
