Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets, about 6 ounces each
Honey Mustard Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika, optional
For Serving
  • as needed Lemon wedges
  • as needed Chopped parsley or dill

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet or small baking dish with parchment paper, or lightly oil the surface.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry and arrange them skin-side down on the prepared pan.
  3. Whisk the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional paprika in a small bowl.
  4. Spread the glaze generously over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, checking the thickest fillet with an instant-read thermometer. The salmon is ready when it reaches 145°F and flakes easily.
  6. Let the salmon rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then serve with lemon wedges and chopped parsley or dill.

Notes

Patting the salmon dry helps the glaze cling and brown. Smaller fillets may cook in 10 to 12 minutes, while thicker pieces may need 15 to 18 minutes. For extra caramelization, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end while watching closely because honey can burn quickly.
