- Measure all ingredients into a small bowl or airtight jar. Stir with a spoon or seal the jar and shake thoroughly until the cornstarch and spices are evenly distributed.
- Use about 2 tablespoons of the seasoning blend per pound of sliced meat or vegetables. Toss with 2–3 tablespoons of water, lime juice, or oil to help the spices coat evenly.
- Cook the seasoned ingredients in a skillet until the protein is fully done and the vegetables are tender-crisp, generally 10–15 minutes depending on what you are cooking.
Notes
Store the seasoning in a tightly sealed jar in a cool, dark cupboard. It keeps best for about 6 months, although the spices may remain usable longer with gradually reduced flavor. Cornstarch may be omitted for a simpler dry spice blend.
