Step-by-Step
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish so the sauce and cheese do not stick around the edges.
- Spread about 1 cup of Alfredo sauce across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange half of the ravioli over the sauce, adding frozen ravioli directly from the freezer without thawing.
- Scatter half of the cooked chicken over the ravioli. Spoon over half of the remaining Alfredo sauce, then add 3/4 cup of mozzarella and half of the Parmesan.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, chicken, Alfredo sauce, 3/4 cup mozzarella, and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and optional garlic powder evenly over the top, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. If using frozen ravioli, plan for the casserole to take closer to 35 minutes before uncovering.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for 5–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly browned and the Alfredo sauce is bubbling around the edges. The center should be hot.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Finish with chopped fresh parsley for a bright, colorful garnish.
Notes
Do not thaw frozen ravioli before assembling. If the Alfredo sauce is especially thick, stir 2–4 tablespoons of milk into it before layering. Use fully cooked chicken only; raw chicken may not cook safely before the ravioli is finished.
