Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 buns Slider buns, preferably Hawaiian sweet rolls or small potato rolls
  • 12 slices Bacon, about 1 pound, cooked crisp and drained
  • 1 large tomato Large ripe tomato, cut into 12 slices
  • 2 cups Shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper, optional
Optional Additions
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice or pickle juice
  • 1 tablespoon Finely chopped chives
  • 2–4 slices Cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Melted butter for brushing buns

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat or arrange it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 400°F for about 15–20 minutes, until browned and genuinely crisp, then drain on paper towels and cut each slice in half if needed.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato into 12 thin, even slices, then pat the slices dry and season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
  3. Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping the Hawaiian rolls connected as one sheet if using that style. Spread mayonnaise over the cut sides, stirring lemon juice or pickle juice into the mayonnaise first if desired.
  4. Layer the lettuce, tomato, and bacon on the bottom halves of the rolls. Add cheddar or American cheese if desired, then replace the tops and serve immediately.
  5. For warm party sliders, place the assembled rolls in a baking dish, brush the tops with melted butter, cover loosely with foil, and bake at 350°F for about 8–10 minutes. Add the lettuce and tomato after baking if you want them crisp and fresh.

Notes

Cook the bacon until crisp so it stays easy to bite and does not make the sandwiches chewy. Assemble shortly before serving, and prepare the bacon and washed vegetables ahead of time if needed, adding the lettuce and tomato just before serving to help prevent soggy buns.
