Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package, about 25 ounces Frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 24-ounce jar Marinara or spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups, about 8 ounces Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
Optional Seasoning and Garnish
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1–2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce over the bottom of the dish.
  3. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. Do not thaw them first unless the package specifically requires it.
  4. Spoon half of the remaining sauce over the ravioli, then sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Add the remaining ravioli, sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning.
  6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  8. Rest the casserole for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve.

Notes

Bake the ravioli from frozen to help prevent overcooking and excess water. For deeper browning, broil for 1–2 minutes after baking, watching closely. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and reheat until hot.
