- Add the water or chicken broth, butter, and salt to a small saucepan. Bring the liquid to a full boil over medium-high heat.
- Stir in the Minute white rice once the liquid is actively boiling. Stir briefly so the grains are moistened, then immediately cover the saucepan and remove it from the heat.
- Let the covered rice stand for 5 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed. Do not continue boiling the rice after adding it.
- Remove the lid and fluff the rice gently with a fork. Add the chopped parsley if desired, then serve warm.
Notes
Chicken broth can replace water for a more savory taste. If using prepared broth, taste carefully before adding salt because some broths are already seasoned. Check the package directions when using brown, jasmine, basmati, or flavored Minute Rice products, since liquid amounts and cooking times may differ.
