Total Time 25 minutes
Servings: 20 servings

Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package, about 8 oz Nutter Butter Bites
  • 1 package, about 9 oz Hershey's Kisses
  • 20-24 chips Mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup Creamy peanut butter

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Line a plate, tray, or small baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Unwrap all of the Hershey's Kisses before you begin so assembly moves quickly.
  2. Turn each Nutter Butter Bite so the flat end faces upward. Spread a small dab, about 1/4 teaspoon, of creamy peanut butter onto the flat end.
  3. Press the flat side of an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss onto the peanut butter. Hold it gently for a moment so the candy adheres without squeezing excess peanut butter around the sides.
  4. Place one mini chocolate chip on the opposite end of the Nutter Butter Bite, with the point facing outward. This creates the tiny stem of the acorn.
  5. Arrange each completed acorn on the lined tray. Refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the peanut butter firms and the pieces hold together.

Notes

Use only a small amount of peanut butter for a neat finish. Store the finished cookies covered at cool room temperature or in the refrigerator. Melted chocolate, chocolate frosting, or peanut butter chips can also be used as the adhesive, but the standard version uses creamy peanut butter.
