Step-by-Step
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and trim excess fat if desired. Rub both sides with olive oil.
- Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, black pepper, and optional brown sugar in a small bowl. Coat both sides of each pork chop evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F for 3 to 5 minutes if required by your appliance. Arrange the pork chops in a single layer with space between each one.
- Air-fry for 5 to 7 minutes, then carefully turn each chop. Continue cooking for another 5 to 7 minutes.
- Check the thickest part of the pork with an instant-read thermometer. Remove the chops when they reach 145°F.
- Let the pork chops rest for 3 minutes before serving. This gives the juices time to settle so each bite stays moist.
Notes
Thickness matters more than weight. Thin chops can finish in 7 to 10 minutes, while thick or bone-in chops may need 14 to 18 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer rather than time alone, and avoid overcrowding the basket.
