Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4 slices Bacon, cut into small pieces
Seasonings
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Optional Finishing Ingredient
  • 2 tablespoons Grated Parmesan cheese

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Wash the green beans and dry them very thoroughly. Trim the stem ends, then cut the bacon into small pieces.
  2. Toss the green beans with olive oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Add the bacon pieces and toss again to distribute them throughout the beans.
  3. Place the beans and bacon in the air-fryer basket in as close to a single layer as possible. Air fry at 380°F for 10–14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  4. Cook until the green beans are tender-crisp and the bacon is browned. Add 2–3 minutes if using thick bacon or if you prefer more browning.
  5. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan, if using, and serve hot.

Notes

Dry the green beans well to encourage browning, and avoid overcrowding the air-fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Thin- or regular-cut bacon cooks most evenly; thick bacon may need 2–3 additional minutes.
