Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can, about 16.3 ounces/460 g Refrigerated large buttermilk biscuits
Butter Coating
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
Cinnamon Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
For the Basket
  • As needed Nonstick cooking spray

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes if your model requires preheating.
  2. Separate the biscuits and cut a hole in the center of each with a small round cutter or piping tip. Keep the cut centers to cook as donut holes.
  3. Lightly spray the air-fryer basket and arrange the donuts in a single layer, leaving space between them. Cook in batches if needed rather than stacking or overcrowding.
  4. Air fry the donuts at 350°F for 5 to 6 minutes, turning halfway if needed, until puffed and lightly golden. Air fry the donut holes for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Brush the hot donuts and donut holes on all sides with melted butter.
  6. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, then roll the buttered donuts and donut holes in the mixture. Serve warm.

Notes

Begin checking at 5 minutes because air fryers vary and canned biscuit dough can dry out or brown too much if overcooked. Refrigerated biscuits generally hold their shape better than flaky-layer biscuits. For a glaze, combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, then dip cooled donuts into it.
