Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup (226 g) Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (about 250 g) Creamy peanut butter
  • 4 cups (about 480 g) Powdered sugar or confectioners’ sugar

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving enough overhang on two sides to lift out the chilled fudge.
  2. Place the butter and creamy peanut butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute, stir, then continue in 30- to 60-second intervals until smooth and melted, taking care not to boil or overheat the mixture.
  3. Add the powdered sugar gradually, stirring after each addition until the mixture becomes thick, smooth, and completely blended.
  4. Press the fudge mixture firmly and evenly into the lined pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  5. Refrigerate the pan for 1 to 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm. Lift it out using the parchment or foil overhang, let it stand briefly if very firm, and cut it into small squares.

Notes

Use regular commercial creamy peanut butter rather than natural peanut butter, which can separate and make the fudge softer or oily. Sift the powdered sugar or add it gradually to help prevent lumps. Optional vanilla is not included in the strict three-ingredient formula.
