Ingredients

Casserole
  • 4 10.5-ounce cans Condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 8 cups Cooked cut green beans, well drained
Topping
  • 2 2/3 cups French-fried onions, divided

Method

Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease one deep 9 x 13-inch baking dish, or grease two 8-inch square dishes.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and ground black pepper until smooth and evenly combined.
  3. Add the well-drained green beans and about 1 1/3 cups of the French-fried onions. Fold gently until the beans are coated without breaking them apart.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbling around the edges.
  5. Stir the hot casserole carefully so the creamy sauce is redistributed throughout the beans. Sprinkle the remaining 1 1/3 cups of French-fried onions over the top.
  6. Return the casserole to the oven and bake for 5 minutes more, until the onions are golden and crisp. Serve hot while the topping is at its crunchiest.
