Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 1 minute
Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

Grape Salad
  • 2 pounds Seedless grapes, preferably a mix of red and green
Creamy Dressing
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
Topping
  • 1/2 cup Packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Wash the grapes thoroughly, dry them very well, and remove the stems. Leave the grapes whole, or halve any especially large grapes.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract, then beat until the dressing is creamy and fully combined.
  3. Fold the grapes into the dressing until every grape is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.
  4. Combine the packed brown sugar and chopped pecans. Sprinkle the mixture over the salad, preferably shortly before serving for the best crunch.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours if desired. Stir gently just before serving if the dressing needs to be redistributed.

Notes

Dry the grapes completely so excess water does not thin the dressing. Soften the cream cheese fully to prevent lumps. Chopped walnuts may replace the pecans, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon may be added to the brown-sugar topping.
