Step-by-Step
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Spread the popcorn, pretzels, Valentine’s candy-coated chocolates, and optional conversation hearts over the sheet, or place them in a very large bowl.
- Place the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval. Continue until the candy is smooth and fluid, taking care not to overheat it.
- Drizzle or pour the melted white candy over the snack mixture. Use a spatula to gently toss until the popcorn and pretzels are lightly coated, working carefully so the pieces remain whole.
- Melt the pink or red candy melts separately until smooth, using short microwave intervals and stirring between each one. Drizzle the colored candy across the coated mixture in thin ribbons.
- Immediately scatter the Valentine’s sprinkles or nonpareils over the surface while the candy is still wet. Let the mixture stand at room temperature for 20–30 minutes, or refrigerate it briefly until firm.
- Break the set Cupid Crunch into bite-size pieces and transfer it to a serving bowl or gift bags. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for about 3–5 days.
Notes
Use plain popcorn instead of heavily buttered microwave popcorn because excess butter can make the coating greasy. For the cleanest mixture, spread ingredients on a parchment-lined baking sheet rather than stirring vigorously in a bowl. Add sprinkles right after drizzling so they stick before the candy sets.
