Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package, 20–25 ounces Refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
Breading
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs or panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Finely grated Parmesan cheese
Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
For Cooking and Serving
  • As needed Nonstick cooking spray or olive oil
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce, warmed

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. If using refrigerated or frozen ravioli, cook it briefly according to the package directions until just tender. Drain very well and let it cool slightly before breading; some products may be air-fried from frozen according to their package directions.
  2. Place the flour in one shallow bowl and beat the eggs in a second bowl. In a third bowl, stir together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  3. Dip each ravioli into flour, then beaten egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture. Press the crumbs gently onto both sides so the coating adheres.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Arrange the ravioli in a single layer with space between pieces, then lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  5. Air-fry for 8 to 10 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crisp. If using a 400°F setting on your model, cook for about 6 to 8 minutes and watch closely.
  6. Serve the toasted ravioli immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping. Cook in batches if needed so every piece browns properly.

Notes

Panko creates a crunchier coating than standard Italian breadcrumbs. If the breading is not adhering well, chill or freeze the coated ravioli for 10 to 15 minutes before air-frying. Do not overcrowd the basket.
