Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package, about 9-13 ounces Refrigerated or frozen cheese ravioli
Breading
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs Large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt, optional
For Cooking and Serving
  • As needed Olive-oil or cooking spray
  • 1 cup Marinara sauce, warmed

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. If using frozen ravioli, thaw it according to the package directions. Do not boil the ravioli, because it cooks directly in the air fryer.
  2. Place the flour in one shallow bowl. In a second bowl, beat the eggs with the water, and in a third bowl, stir together the Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and optional salt.
  3. Coat each ravioli in flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and press it into the breadcrumb mixture until the surface is fully covered.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Lightly spray the basket, arrange the coated ravioli in a single layer with space between pieces, and lightly spray the tops with oil.
  5. Air-fry the ravioli for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crisp. Frozen ravioli may need 10–12 minutes.
  6. Serve the toasted ravioli immediately with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the basket and cook in batches so hot air can circulate. Italian-seasoned panko can replace regular breadcrumbs, or use a half-panko and half-Italian-breadcrumb mixture for extra crunch.
