Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package, 20–25 ounces Refrigerated cheese ravioli
  • 2–3 cups, approximately 12–16 ounces Cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 15-ounce jar Alfredo sauce
Cheese and Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
Optional Additions
  • 5 ounces Baby spinach
  • 1 cup Chopped broccoli

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. If using refrigerated ravioli, keep it uncooked and use it directly from the package.
  2. Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce across the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange half of the ravioli over the sauce, followed by half of the shredded chicken and half of the remaining Alfredo sauce.
  3. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, shredded chicken, and Alfredo sauce. If using spinach or broccoli, distribute it between the layers so it cooks in the creamy sauce.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top. Finish with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 8–12 minutes, until the casserole is hot and bubbling and the cheese is lightly browned.
  6. Let the ravioli bake stand for 5 minutes before serving. This brief rest allows the sauce to settle and makes the layers easier to scoop.

Notes

For frozen ravioli, follow package directions; many versions can be baked directly from frozen. Bake covered for approximately 30–35 minutes, then uncover and bake 8–12 minutes more, confirming that the center is fully hot. For extra sauce, some cooks use two 15-ounce jars of Alfredo sauce, although one jar creates the standard version. Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end if you want a deeper golden topping.
