Step-by-Step
- Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a small 1- to 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Thaw the frozen spinach completely, then press or wring it extremely dry. Drain the artichoke hearts thoroughly and chop them into small, bite-size pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, minced garlic, Sriracha, kosher salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Fold the dry spinach and chopped artichokes into the creamy cheese mixture. Taste and add more Sriracha or salt if desired.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Sprinkle the optional additional mozzarella or Parmesan over the top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbling around the edges, and lightly browned on top.
- Remove the dip from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. This brief rest helps the dip thicken slightly and makes it easier to scoop.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, crackers, celery, or bell-pepper strips. Garnish with green onions or crushed red-pepper flakes if using.
Notes
Squeeze the spinach extremely dry so the dip does not become thin. Soften the cream cheese before mixing, and bake only until hot and bubbling to help prevent the dairy mixture from separating.
