Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz (225 g) Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) Sour cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) Low-sugar pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup (about 113 g) Shredded mozzarella, divided
  • 1/2 cup (45–50 g) Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2–3 oz (55–85 g) Sliced or mini pepperoni, divided
Seasonings
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
Optional Add-Ins
  • 2 tbsp Chopped green bell pepper, olives, or mushrooms

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an approximately 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
  2. Beat the softened cream cheese and sour cream together until completely smooth.
  3. Mix in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, Parmesan, and about half of the shredded mozzarella.
  4. Fold half of the pepperoni into the creamy mixture, along with optional chopped vegetables if using.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish and cover with the remaining mozzarella and pepperoni.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbling with lightly browned edges. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Bring the cream cheese to room temperature for a smooth dip. Reserve some pepperoni for the top for stronger pepperoni flavor and better browning. For extra color, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end while watching closely.
