Ingredients

Chicken
  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
Wrap Filling
  • 1 large head, about 8 cups Large romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup Finely shredded or grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 10-inch tortillas Large flour tortillas
Optional Additions
  • 1/2 cup Croutons, lightly crushed
  • As needed for serving Lemon wedges

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. If the chicken breasts are thick, slice them horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Rub both sides with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  3. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice it thinly or cut it into bite-size pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the chopped romaine with Caesar dressing and Parmesan. Add the lightly crushed croutons if desired, using a lighter coating of dressing if the wraps will be packed ahead.
  5. Warm the tortillas briefly until flexible. Divide the Caesar salad and sliced chicken among the tortillas, fold in the sides, and roll tightly.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges, or cool the chicken and wrap the finished lunches for the refrigerator. For the best packed texture, carry extra dressing separately and add it just before eating.

Notes

Bottled Caesar dressing is convenient, though homemade dressing can be used. Flour tortillas are recommended because they roll without cracking. Cool chicken before assembling lunchbox wraps to reduce condensation and sogginess.
