- Place the trimmed green beans in a large saucepan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil and cook the beans uncovered for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are crisp-tender, then drain them well.
- Meanwhile, melt the cubed butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped pecans and cook, stirring, for about 2 to 3 minutes, until the pecans are lightly toasted.
