Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 fillets, about 5–6 ounces each Tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 cup Dry breadcrumbs, plain or seasoned
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Seasoned salt
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
For Serving
  • as needed Lemon wedges

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Heat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and seasoned salt in a shallow bowl.
  3. Dip each tilapia fillet in melted butter, then press and coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated fillets in the prepared dish and drizzle any remaining butter over the tops.
  5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, or until the coating is browned and the fish flakes easily with a fork. Check that the thickest part reaches 145°F (63°C) for food safety.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

Use fillets of similar thickness so they finish at the same time. Very thick pieces may need a few extra minutes. For a crunchier topping, use panko instead of fine breadcrumbs and do not cover the dish while baking.
