Step-by-Step
- Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. For easier cleanup, place the dish on a foil-lined sheet pan before baking.
- Spread both cans of apple pie filling evenly across the prepared baking dish.
- Separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit into approximately 6 to 8 pieces. Scatter the pieces evenly over the apple filling.
- Stir together the melted butter, packed light brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. Drizzle the mixture over the biscuit pieces.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the biscuit pieces are puffed and golden and the apple filling is bubbling.
- Let the dessert stand for about 10 minutes before serving. Spoon it into bowls and serve warm with optional vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
Cut the biscuit dough into small, evenly sized pieces so the centers cook through before the tops become too brown. If the biscuits brown too quickly, loosely cover the dish with foil during the final portion of baking. Cherry, peach, or blueberry pie filling can replace the apple filling.
