Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 1 servings

Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 banana Medium ripe banana, preferably frozen
  • 1 cup (about 145 g) Frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) Plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Milk or unsweetened almond milk
Optional Flavorings
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Pour the milk into the blender first. Add the Greek yogurt, frozen banana, frozen blueberries, and the optional honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if any fruit or yogurt is clinging to the container.
  3. Check the consistency before serving. If the smoothie is too thick to blend easily, add 1–2 tablespoons more milk and blend again briefly.
  4. Pour into one large glass or divide between two small glasses. Serve immediately for the best cold, creamy texture.

Notes

Frozen blueberries and a frozen banana provide the best texture. If using fresh fruit instead, add 1/2–1 cup of ice. For a dairy-free smoothie, use unsweetened almond, oat, or soy milk with dairy-free yogurt.
