Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole Ripe fresh pineapple
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/4 cup Packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Trim the crown and base from the pineapple. Cut away the peel, remove the core, and cut the fruit into wedges or thick slices approximately 1/2 to 1 inch thick.
  2. Combine the packed light brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush each pineapple piece with melted unsalted butter, then coat both sides with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  3. Arrange the coated pineapple in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, leaving space between pieces. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until hot, caramelized, and lightly browned at the edges.
  4. Serve the pineapple warm by itself or with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or additional cinnamon sugar. Watch the fruit closely near the end because the sugar can burn quickly.

Notes

Use a ripe but firm pineapple because an overripe one may become too soft while cooking. Avoid overcrowding the air-fryer basket; cook in batches when necessary so hot air can circulate and the coating can caramelize instead of steam.
