Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pineapple Fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into 1-inch chunks or wedges
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 1 pinch Salt

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes if your model recommends preheating. Pat the pineapple dry with paper towels, then whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, optional honey or maple syrup, and optional salt in a bowl.
  2. Add the pineapple to the bowl and toss until every piece is evenly coated. Arrange the fruit in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, leaving space between pieces.
  3. Air-fry the pineapple at 375°F for 8–12 minutes, turning the pieces or shaking the basket halfway through cooking. Continue until the fruit is hot, tender, and lightly browned with caramelized edges.
  4. Transfer the pineapple to a serving dish and serve warm. Spoon any glossy juices from the plate over the fruit, and add your preferred topping such as ice cream, yogurt, or toasted coconut.

Notes

Pat the pineapple dry before seasoning and avoid overcrowding the basket so the fruit browns instead of steaming. Honey and maple syrup are optional and should be used in moderation because added sugars can brown quickly. Canned pineapple may be used if thoroughly drained and dried, although fresh pineapple generally browns better.
