Step-by-Step
- Remove the husks and silk from four ears of corn. Rinse the corn, then pat each ear thoroughly dry with paper towels.
- Rub the dry corn with one tablespoon of olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle with kosher salt and optional black pepper, turning the ears so the seasoning is distributed evenly.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your appliance recommends preheating. This helps the corn begin cooking at a steady temperature.
- Arrange the corn in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 380°F to 400°F for 10 to 14 minutes, turning the ears halfway through.
- Check for bright yellow, tender kernels with lightly browned spots. Very large ears may need an additional 2 to 3 minutes, while smaller ears can finish sooner.
- Transfer the hot corn to a serving platter and brush with two tablespoons of melted butter. Add parsley, paprika, chili powder, Parmesan, or additional salt before serving.
Notes
Pat the ears dry before seasoning so they brown better instead of steaming. Avoid overcrowding the basket and turn the corn halfway through cooking. Soaking is generally unnecessary, and reserved husks are not needed.
