Air Fryer Cheesy Garlic Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

Crescent Rolls
  • 1 tube, about 8 ounces Refrigerated crescent-roll dough, 8-count
  • 4 sticks Mozzarella string-cheese sticks, cut in half
Garlic Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Finishing
  • 1 tablespoon, optional Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon, optional garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Method

Step-by-Step
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. If your model does not require preheating, plan on adding an extra minute or two to the cooking time.
  2. Separate the crescent dough into eight triangles. Place half of a cold mozzarella stick at the wide end of each triangle, then roll toward the pointed end.
  3. Pinch the dough firmly at both ends and along the seam so the cheese is enclosed. Stir the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning together in a small bowl.
  4. Arrange the rolls in a single layer in the air-fryer basket, leaving space between them. Brush the tops with the garlic-butter mixture.
  5. Air-fry at 350°F for approximately 5 to 8 minutes, checking at 5 minutes, until the rolls are puffed and golden brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley, if desired.
  6. Let the rolls stand for 1 to 2 minutes before serving because the melted cheese will be very hot.

Notes

Use cold mozzarella and seal the dough completely to reduce cheese leakage. Do not overcrowd the basket, and remember that smaller or more powerful air fryers may finish the rolls closer to 5 to 6 minutes.
